Avoid a slip up. How safe are your floors?

According to the Health and Safety Executive, slips and trips are the most common cause of injury at work and on average they cause over a third of all major injuries. HSE statistics suggest that most of these accidents are slips, most of which happen when floor surfaces are contaminated.

Choosing the right floor

Epoxy resin and resin flooring provide a range of options that can be tailored to suit and are perfect for areas that are likely to become wet or contaminated with foodstuff or chemicals.

Clean it up!

Splashes and spillages should be cleaned up as soon as possible but regular cleaning with mechanical scrubbers and detergent will stop the build-up of general dirt that will impact anti-slip effectiveness. People generally slip on wet floors or wet shoes not clean dry surfaces.

Measuring slip resistance

It is important that the relevant information is sought when specifying a floor and there are many types of slip resistance tests available. Our epoxy resin and resin flooring systems have been independently evaluated using the Pendulum Test Values (PTV’s) which is the HSE UK’s preferred test method.

Anti-slip does not have to be boring
