Afonwen Laundry Wales

Afonwen Laundry asked Robex Contracting to undertake a site survey to provide a specification for a durable, easy-to-clean floor coating at their site in North Wales.
Robex Contracting specified their solvent free RXEP Hi-Build 500 to all areas.

Challenges

The work had to be done to a very tight schedule to allow production to continue without delays.

• Robex Hi-Build

Work undertaken

State-of-the-art diamond grinding equipment was used to remove all existing coating. The floor was then inspected, and cracks and holes were repaired using Robex Epoxy Crete repair mortar.
Two coats of Robex Hi-Build were then applied to all areas, in French blue, to provide a very attractive seamless finish.

We worked in shifts over 24-hour periods and all work was completed within the four-day shutdown period.

Outcome

The floor was handed back to Afonwen within the time frame, allowing the client to continue production as planned.
