Robex Contracting were asked to install anti-corrosion coating to roof steel work at 350 Euston Road.
Broadgate Estates were formed in 1986 and manage a number of prestigious sites throughout the UK including Liverpool ONE, More London, Central St Giles, Paternoster Square and Regents Place.
Regents Place is a mixed-use business, retail and residential site situated on the north side of Euston Road in London. There are a number of high rise buildings in the development including the Euston Tower, one of the first high rise office developments in the West End.
Materials used
Leigh’s Paints metal protection system was specified, including a spot primer, undercoat and an aluminium top coat.
Work undertaken
Working from platforms and ladders, the steelwork was thoroughly prepared mechanically and by hand. All coatings were applied by brush and roller.
Challenges
The steel work was in very poor condition and the work was undertaken in a confined space at height, with difficult access in very hot weather. Health & safety was of course of paramount importance. The Robex Health & Safety advisor, Paul McCarthur visited the site, to make sure the RAMS were produced correctly and to manage the work.
Outcome
The client was delighted and the steelwork was as good as new.
