Our small works team in London have carried out a number of projects at Stamford Bridge and are used to finding innovative ideas to solve problems that have been difficult to resolve.

Work undertaken

The problem at Stamford Bridge was simply that the grills above the underground car park became very slippery when wet and their maintenance team were forever painting the grills with non-slip paint - so they approached Robex Contracting for a better solution. We applied a specially formulated Polyaspartic Resin, with a coarse bauxite aggregate tamped into the resin.

Outcome

Chelsea FC was delighted with the result and the resin has provided a long-term solution.
