Find out more about this service

The site at Old Oak Common is the ancestral home of the Great Western Railway’s primary London locomotive depot. Robex Contracting was asked to recoat the traction maintenance depot workshop floor and all pits, including the 'might' bogey drop!

Work undertaken

High-speed grinders with a vacuum attachment were used to remove all existing coatings on floors and RXEP Hi-Build 500 was specified to be applied by roller. The bogey drop was cleaned and re-coated using a combination of Ceraguard 3000 & 5000.

The work was completed on time and the maintenance team at Old Oak Common was delighted with the results.
