The Grove Hotel

The Grove Hotel, Chandlers Cross ,Hertfordshire – set in a luxury country estate just 18 miles from central London – required new kitchen flooring,

The kitchen at glasshouse restaurant at was basically not fit for purpose and Robex was asked to provide a specification that was aesthetically pleasing, non-slip and hard-wearing. Our Foodsafe Quartz acrylic resin system was specified using our Vineyard Blend coloured quartz.

Work Undertaken

The existing floor was thoroughly prepared using a diamond headed grinder with vacuum attachment. Any repairs were carried out and then the Foodsafe Quartz system was then installed including Primer – Self Levelling Resin – Coloured Quartz Aggregate – Two Sealer coats. All of the coving was then installed using the same coloured aggregate.

Challenges

The contract was reasonably straight forward – we had to work a couple of evenings to fit in with other trades on site.

Outcome

Superb new kitchen flooring that will last at the Grove Hotel for years and years.
