Application of our resin flooring system, Gripmaster over marine ply incorporating our 0.4 – 0.8 dark grey quartz aggregate. Robex Contracting were asked to attend site by REC Services (London) after a previous flooring contractor had let the client down just four days prior to the opening of their new premises.

Robex Gripmaster.

Work undertaken

All of the floor joints were primed, a special tape applied and then the entire floor primed. Gripmaster Resin was applied at a thickness of 2mm and broadcast with the quartz aggregate. Once cured after approximately 30 minutes, the excess aggregate was removed. Two sealer coats were then applied.

Challenges

We attended site on Thursday evening to find it fully occupied with various contractors, after speaking to the on-site team the other contractors vacated the site to allow us to commence work. The Gripmaster Resin System was installed however on Monday morning we were informed that the floor had been damaged over the weekend, within twelve hours we were back on-site and the damage repaired.

Outcome

The customer was delighted and despite the damage to the floor by an external contractor, once we had returned to site the floor was left as good as new.
