Robex Contracting has been involved with London Zoo (Regent's Park) for a number of years carrying out various contracts. We were asked to waterproof the Pavilion roof.

Work undertaken

The roof was thoroughly cleaned and various repairs were carried out, including using a reinforcing scrim bandage on the cracks and joints. Robex GP primer was then applied, followed by a body coat of Deckmaster resin, applied at approximately 1.5mm. Finally, a pigmented flexible sealer coat was applied giving a film build over just over 2mm.

Outcome

A completely seamless waterproof resin system that has provided a long-term solution.
