The Chelsea Harbour Hotel London

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is a five-star hotel which overlooks the stunning Chelsea Harbour, in South West London. Robex has completed numerous contracts for The Millennium Group, of which Chelsea Harbour Hotel is part of. The hotel boasts two large kitchens which were both in need of a new floor. Robex were asked to look at the floor.

Work undertaken

The lower kitchens had an Altro type flooring installed and the upper kitchen was tiled. All Altro flooring and tiles had to be removed and then the floor was ground using diamond headed grinders with vacuum attachment.

Some areas of the concrete surface needed repairing before the PU 6290 system could be installed.

Once the floor was ready it was primed and then the PU 6290 resin screed was applied by trowel. Joints where necessary were installed using the 6290 joint sealants. Finally, all the coving was installed.

Challenges

This turned out to be quite a straightforward project. The hotel managed to close one of their kitchens which made our life easier. Obviously we had to work to a strict timescale which we achieved.

Outcome

The hotel was delighted with their new flooring.
