Following a site visit to one of the biggest producers of Cornish pasties in the UK by our Area Manager in Cornwall, we were asked to provide a solution to resurface a failing broken floor screed.
The first stage of this contract involved our team diamond grinding the existing damaged screed to remove all contaminants as preparation is a critical part of any floor resurfacing process.
We applied a 6-9mm screed of our two-pack PU over an area of 70m², following a lapse of 12 hours our team were back on site and finished the contract by applying a 100mm coving between the floor and walls ensuring an area that could be completely washed down but still having the benefits of safety anti-slip qualities, therefore, keeping both the EHO and H&S Authorities happy.
Being a busy production area, we were given just two days to complete the works but with the added complication of a leaking roof meant we had to blow torch dry the surface to remove moisture prior to the application of the primer. This put us back slightly, but our team worked into the night to remedy the loss of time on day one allowing us to complete the works within the client’s timescale.
The customer was delighted with the finish and quantity of our workmanship and our next contract is starting in December 2019.
