Work undertaken

Where the building had been extended the floor was breaking up over a 30m stretch. All of the damaged substrate was removed, and repairs completed. An expansion joint was installed between the two buildings for independent movement. The entire floor was then mechanically prepared whilst factory machinery remained in-situ. Using diamond headed grinders with vacuum assistance facilitated a 95% dust-free operation. Two coats of RXEP Hi-Build 500 were applied followed by the reinstatement of red anti-slip areas on slopes with line markings and hatchings applied in yellow and blue.

Outcome

The factory was handed back a day early. The client was extremely impressed with the attitude of our team and the overall finish.
