Techni Steel Cables asked us to refurbish a disused factory floor installing a new epoxy factory flooring.

Challenges

The unit had been empty for some years and had a small amount of oil contamination.

Materials used

- Robex Epoxy Crete
- RXEP Hi-Build 500

Work undertaken

The floor was thoroughly prepared with a diamond headed grinder with vacuum extraction. Repairs were carried out using Robex Epoxy Crete and two coats of our solvent free epoxy coating, RXEP Hi-Build 500, was applied. A non-slip coating was installed in a contrasting colour, in front of the roller shutter doors, along with a blue walkway and yellow lines.

Outcome

The new epoxy factory flooring was created using our solvent-free epoxy resin system.
