Nandos Restaurant Rugby

Nandos was founded in 1987 in Johannesburg South Africa and now has over 1000 outlets in 30 countries. Robex South Africa has been dealing with Nando’s for numerous years throughout South Africa. Robex Contracting UK were then requested to install Hygienic Food Safe Flooring to Nandos UK kitchens.

Materials used

RX Foodsafe Quartz Resin Screed.

Work undertaken

Robex were asked to install the Foodsafe Quartz System to a new build outlet in Rugby. It was decided that it was best if the floor was installed overnight, to avoid disturbance to other trades. The work was completed over two evenings.

The specification was to apply RX GP Primer, followed by RX Resin GP applied at 2mm. A coloured Quartz aggregate was then broadcast into the resin. Once the GP Resin had cured, the excess aggregate was removed and two coats of RX GP Sealer were applied.

Coving was installed throughout the floor.

Challenges

Working to a tight schedule – It was decided to install the resin screed overnight to avoid disturbance to other trades.

Outcome

A superb hygienic food safe flooring installation without any disruption to other trades.
