Metro Bus Crawley

Metro bus based on the south coast in Sussex, asked us upon recommendation to quote for the refurbishment of the mot bay area at the Crawley depot. The works were requested by the governing ministry body, who dictate the standard required finishes around mot bays. Robex contracting installed epoxy resin coating & line marking to workshop floor.

Materials Used

Two Pack Solvent Free Hi-Build in Red, Green, Grey, With the Addition of Yellow Line Marking.

Work Undertaken

Diamond grind existing surface with our 450mm machine, with the addition of dust extraction kit, fitted. This was used to remove all failing coating and prepare concrete substrate in readiness to receive our hi-build coating.

Application of 2 coats of our solvent-free hi-build coating, with the inclusion of bauxite around the pit and step edging to provide non-slip qualities.

Apply yellow line marking & measurement numbers required by the ministry, to carry out mot vehicle checks.

Challenges

Being a busy workshop, we were given just 2 days to complete the works and thankfully did not encounter any problems in achieving this timescale.

Outcome

Customer delighted and will hopefully receive more projects soon.
