The London Clinic Harley Street - London

Robex Contracting was tasked with the preparation and application of High Build Resin System to plant room floor.

The London Clinic is one of the worlds most famous private hospitals based in Harley Street, London. The hospital has a number of buildings in and around the Marylebone area, with more than a 1,000 staff and over 300 consultants working at the various premises, providing services to patients with some of the most advanced equipment available.

RXEP Hi-Build Primer & RXEP Hi-Build 500 in various colours.

Work undertaken

Having been awarded the contract by Peter Brown, Deputy Head of Property, our scope of works was to prepare the floor, using mechanical equipment to remove the existing coatings, then repair and build up some of the floor screed that had lifted to get a level surface where needed.  Having prepared and cleaned the floor RXEP Hi-Build 500 Primer was applied using rollers and brushes to cut in and around the plinths and walls etc and allowed to cure overnight.  The following day RXEP Hi-Build 500 Mid Grey was applied to the main floor area. RXEP Hi-Build 500 in yellow was then applied to the plinths to highlight them as a trip hazard.

Challenges

Working in confined spaces with difficult access.

Outcome

After achieving excellent results, we were then asked to install further coatings to the top bases, where the pumps and equipment are located and a decision was made to also highlight the medical and ladder storage areas in green and yellow.
